The Disaster Recovery Payment: A one-off payment for people who have been adversely affected by a disaster, for example, if your home has been damaged, you haven’t been able to access your home for 24 hours or more, your home has been without electricity, water, gas, sewage or another essential service for at 48 hours, or you have been seriously injured. If you are eligible you will receive:
– $1000 per adult and $400 for each child (under 16 years of age).

The Disaster Income Recovery Subsidy Flooding and Severe Weather Payment: Financial assistance for employees, small business persons and farmers who have experienced a loss of income as a direct result of the flooding, for example, if your income is derived from the area affected by the disaster. If you are eligible you will receive:
– $469.70 per fortnight for a single adult
–  $424.00 per fortnight per adult who is a member of a couple
– $508.20 per fortnight for a single adult with a dependent child
– $388.70 per fortnight for a person who is under 21 years of age.

Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Grants available are:
–  Emergency Assistance grants – a grant of $170 per person, up to a maximum of $780 for a family of five or more is available. This grant is available to people experiencing hardship due to the disaster who require assistance to meet their basic needs such as food, clothing, accommodation and medical supplies.
–  Essential Household Contents grants – assistance of up to $1,660 for individuals and $4,980 for families.
–  Repairs to Dwelling grants – assistance of up to $10,250 for individuals and $13,800 for families can be provided.

Business Assistance: Grants are available to small businesses that have been affected by flood damage. An initial claim of $5,000 is available to assist you with immediate early recovery and up to $20,000 to recover costs you have paid to repair
